In Case You’re Wondering, Here’s What I’ve Been Doing

Sometimes life doesn’t give you a heads-up… it just changes while you’re busy handling everything else. That’s pretty much what happened to me these past few months. I stepped back, focused on what needed my attention, and before I knew it, things in my life looked completely different.

First big change? I moved to a new state. Not a quick getaway. A full reset. New streets, new routines, new everything. Even a simple Target run felt like a mini adventure at first.

And then there’s work.

After being home since COVID, I’m officially back in an office again. Real commute. Real clothes. Real “good morning” energy. I won’t pretend it was seamless. At home, everything you need is within reach. In an office, you actually have to think ahead. Pack things. Prep. Try to get out the door on time (keyword: try ).

But honestly? It’s been good for me. There’s something about getting up, getting dressed, and stepping into the day with purpose that just feels… solid. It’s a kind of structure I didn’t realize I’d been missing.

And one of the best parts of this new chapter? I live super close to the beach now. Close enough to hear the seagulls. Loud, chaotic, somehow calming seagulls. They’ve become part of my everyday background noise, and I actually love it.

So no, I didn’t disappear. I was getting settled. Figuring out what life looks like now. Putting pieces in place so everything actually works for me again.

And one thing became very clear very fast: Your mornings can make or break your whole day, especially when you’re getting used to being back in an office.

Next week, I’m sharing something super practical that’s been helping me stay on track: what’s in my work bag.   Because having the right things with me has made my mornings smoother, my days easier, and getting out the door way less stressful.

But now I’m curious , what’s one thing you added or removed from your routine that made leaving the house easier or faster? I might need to borrow a few ideas
