Watching Her Bloom in Real Time

There’s a quote I came across on Pinterest that said, “Be patient when becoming someone you haven’t been before.”

And for some reason, it immediately brought one of my very good friends to mind.

Over the last five years, I’ve watched her life evolve in ways that are both beautiful and deeply transformative. She is now married to an incredible man who truly loves her well. She is a mother to two beautiful children, with another little one on the way. She is building a home, a rhythm, and a life that once felt like something we only spoke about in hopes and prayers.

And still… she is becoming.

What people often don’t talk about is how much transition can exist inside answered prayers. New roles. New responsibilities. New versions of yourself you’re learning how to meet in real time. Wife. Mother. Partner. Builder of a new life. Woman in motion.

She has taken on many new hats over these past few years, and sometimes, when you’re in the middle of becoming, it can be hard to recognize the reward of what is being built.

But I see her.

I see her strength in the quiet ways she shows up every day. I see the love she pours into her family, even in the exhaustion. I see the patience it takes to grow into a life you once only dreamed of and then actually live it out loud. It is not always effortless, but it is intentional.

And I am so proud of her for taking a chance on love and finding something real in it.

Not perfect. Not curated. But real, rooted, and growing.

We used to pray for this life she is living now. We spoke about it like it was far away, something waiting for a future version of her. And now, here it is. Right here. Being lived.

And through all of it, I want her to know this:

I am here, proud of her, cheering her on, and deeply in awe of the woman she is becoming.

Because she is not just stepping into a new season of life…

She is unfolding into herself.

And I get the honor of watching it happen.

Some lives don’t just change. They bloom slowly and beautifully in real time… and this is one of them.

And maybe the real question for all of us is this: what have you once prayed for that you are now living?
